State-U Scores, Series Notes and Coaches Records in Rivalry
When South Dakota State University (7-3, 5-2, MVFC) hosts South Dakota (1-9, 0-7 MVFC) on Saturday at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium in Brookings at 2 p.m., it will be a renewal of a football rivalry that dates back to 1889 when the two schools met each other on the gridiron as part of a field day event in Sioux Falls. This game will be the 106th meeting between the schools with South Dakota holding a 50-48-7 advantage.
